Treatment-only quarantine

Definition

A hospital tank is a small (10-20g) bare-bottom tank used to treat sick fish. Different from a quarantine tank (which is for new fish observation) - hospital is for active treatment with medications.

Practical use

Setup: bare bottom, sponge filter, heater, hide spots. NO carbon (binds medications). NO substrate (absorbs medications). Match parameters to display tank. Treat with Cupramine, PraziPro, Kanaplex, etc.
